The idea of being most whole as a seed, and branching out from that, is a beautiful image. I wonder, however, if in non-biological contexts there are cases in which the center is strengthened and fortified by branching out, so that the infinitistic expansion of some being (not necessarily conscious, but possibly so) continues to grow and its vitalized by its tendrils that tap into ever more distant parts o f the cosmos.
